Hello, Nativity crew. Is everyone feeling well this week? Please let us know if you need some prayers or assistance. Nativity would like to be of service.

Our first Sunday Morning Prayer was a great success. Rev. Ann brought a wonderful air of kindness and enthusiasm to our little Zoom gathering and it was fantastic! Thanks to everyone that joined us last Sunday and we hope more of you will join us down the road. Sylvia Czarnetsky will be our supply priest for this coming Sunday. We hope to welcome her with great warmth and hospitality as she leads us in Sunday Morning Prayer. We are looking forward to it!

We wanted to update you on St. Peter’s Zoom gathering for Fr. Kirk’s departure. If you were not able to say ‘goodbye’ during Kirk’s Christmas Eve service, this is your opportunity to do so. It will be @ 4 p.m. on Zoom. The address is here:

It is customary for St. Peter’s to collect a purse as a farewell gift for their departing clergy/beloved employees. If you would like to contribute to this purse, please write a check to St. Peter’s or you can Venmo any desired amount to @stpetersoxford with “Kirk LaFon Purse” in the memo line.

Ongoing Announcements

We are still Bible Slamming through Psalms if you want to get in on the action. Nativity’s doors are open from 8:30ish to sundown. Drop on by!

Vestry Nomination Update

Number of Nominees Needed: 2

Number of Current Nominees: 2

We are looking for at least two Vestry nominees for 2021 (the more the merrier). The term is for three years and the Vestry meets once every two months. Of course, we also require that you have a strong love for the Church of the Nativity. We hope to announce our new Vestry members by the end of January. Please contact us if you’re interested.

That’s what we have for this week. Please let us know if there’s something you’d like to announce (if it’s Nativity relevant) in future newsletters. Christ’s peace be with you all!

-Sean

p.s. If you would like to contact Rev. Ann Whitaker, please email us at nativitywatervalley@gmail.com for her contact info.
