From Vicar Ann: Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness... Dear Nativity Family, As your Vicar, I am keeping in touch with the Diocese of MS regarding our common life. As we watch the cases of Covid-19 rise in our state, I am very mindful of how we keep ourselves safe as we gather for worship. This is important to all of us. This week, Nativity will be served by our LEM Joe York in a service of Morning Prayer. Please make your own decision regarding masks; however, if you are unvaccinated, we respectfully ask that you wear a mask. Our Eucharistic worship resumes on August 1. Unless we are instructed otherwise by the Diocese, we will serve communion in both kinds. The wine shall be served by intinction. Brief instruction will be given at the time of the service. Also coming on August 1 will be a back to school blessings. This blessing is for ALL students, whether you are returning to the classroom or virtual learning. And if you are an adult who is engaged in active learning, this blessing is also for you. August blesses us with a fifth Sunday; we will implement our Fifth Sunday Folk Mass on August 29. This will be a time for more casual dress, music by guitar (or maybe even a tambourine!), and a different kind of liturgy. More details will follow soon. Please feel free to email or contact me with questions or concerns. We are in this together! May the Lord watch between us while we are absent from one another. Faithfully, Ann + Vicar
