Hello on this rainy Tuesday. We hope everyone is doing their best to be of healthy mind and body today! Well it’s here. I’m talking about Holy Week. It’s a good time to contemplate the struggle and sacrifice Christ made for us on his path to the cross and bringing eventual hope and joy through his resurrection. And we’re happy to say that we are providing a few resources to keep you connected to Nativity during this time. On Wednesday @ 6 p.m., Fr. Kirk is going to have another Pub Theology Zoom discussion. And since the beginning of Passover will be starting this Wednesday evening, our discussion will be all about this Jewish tradition that Jesus himself was celebrating before the passion narrative takes over in the gospels. We’re sure there will be plenty to talk about. Please feel free to join via Zoom. The Zoom link is here. On Thursday, Fr. Kirk is going to provide us with a meditative video to get us into the spirit of Maundy Thursday. Too bad we can’t wash each other’s feet virtually! That’s a funny visual. Anyways... On Friday, Kirk will guide us through the Stations on the Cross via Zoom @ 6 p.m. He also has a PowerPoint presentation to go with it. Thanks for providing us with the visual aid Kirk! Once again, you can find the Zoom link here. We hope that these event offerings might provide a little bit more to bite into during Holy Week. It’s also a great way to interact and stay connected with our Nativity friends. We thank Fr. Kirk for providing these opportunities to help us get more engrossed in the spirit of this week. Last but not least, our former music director, Brenda Prager, has some Holy Week hymns for us to enjoy. Brenda’s on a roll y’all! Thank you for taking the time to record these tunes for us! Here are the hymns: Holy Week/ Good Friday O Sacred Head Sore Wounded here. Were You There When They Crucified My Lord here. Easter Sunday Jesus Christ Is Risen Today here. Alleluia, Alleluia Give Thanks to the Risen Lord here. Yours Be the Glory here. Christ’s peace be with you all! -Sean Kirkpatrick
