December 18-Holiday Visit to Yalobusha County Detention Center

In response to Jesus words in the 25th chapter of Matthew: “…I  was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me…Even as you have done it unto the least of these my children, you have done it unto me…”, we will be carrying stuffed Christmas stockings to inmates at the Detention Center on Monday, December 18. We will meet at the Salt and Light Building at 3:00, organize ourselves, then travel to the Detention Center. Our official visitation time is 3:30. If we have a critical mass of voices, we will offer Christmas carols as well!

If all goes reasonably well we hope to make this visit an annual Nativity tradition.

Lessons and Carols Service this Sunday

We will be holding our annual Lessons and Carols service this Sunday, December 17. Thanks to Brenda Prager and the “Nativity Singers” for their musical offering and Robbie Fisher and her team of lectors for the telling of the story that changed human history.

See you Sunday!

Blessings and Peace,

Duncan
