This coming week I covet your prayers as Margaret Love and I head to Cursillo #141 on Thursday, September 17th through Sunday September 20th where we will be on staff. Also, please pray for Sally Lott who will be attending as a pilgrim from September 18th through the 20th.

Cursillo is a short course in Christianity. There are a total of 15 talks. Margaret Love will be giving the first talk and I will be giving the 11th talk. It's intense and honestly almost too much to grasp. However, when I attended April, 2025 there was one sentence from  11th talk (coincidentally) that made a significant impact on me. That sentence was "Small groups are the glue that hold a church together."

As you will recall, April 2025 was just 2 months before Duncan retired. That one sentence gave me hope for the future of Nativity. We are seeing this play out now in several ways at Nativity - our after church fellowship, in our food ministries, in our book group, coffee groups, and in other efforts where we get together for a common purpose. Not cliques (God forbid) but in groups where people find commonality and commitment to just show up for each other.

If you do not feel that you are a part of a "small group" at Nativity and want to be. Reach out. Don't hesitate to start your own.

See you Sunday.

Is it just me or has it been really difficult to get motivated lately? I've decided it's the heat. I find it really zaps me. There are only a few things I've done consistently over the last few weeks:
