Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Announcements:
Bible Slam is ongoing. Stop by the church - morning, noon, or night and read aloud from the BIG BIBLE on the lectern. Read as much or as little as you like, mark where you ended, and sign the sheet. Be sure to read aloud. It's a different spiritual experience.
*Book Group meets on Saturdays at 9:30 except 9/19. We will start a new book on 9/26. The next book is The Road Back to You - An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery by Ian Morgan Cron. All are welcome to attend. This is a good book to have young, old alike and add some men. Juawice will be co-leading this one. The book is available through Amazon, Walmart, and other sources.
