Dear Nativity Family, As we enter into the afternoon this Thursday, we enter what is known in the Church as the Triduum–the three days. It begins on the evening of Maundy Thursday and culminates in the celebration of Resurrection. On Good Friday, April 15, I will be at Nativity beginning at 2 p.m. For those who wish, I will be there for Reconciliation of a Penitent (Confession) from 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. At 5:30, we will walk the Way of the Cross by joining in the Stations of the Cross. At 6:30 p.m., we will share in the Good Friday Liturgy and depart in silence as we reflect on the meaning of the cross.

Easter Sunday will indeed be celebrated at Nativity, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Our service will include a Baptism and all will renew their Baptismal vows. Please bring flowers to assist in the flowering of the cross as we celebrate Resurrection.

As part of our Easter offering, you are asked to bring a packet of sunflower seeds for planting on our grounds. A special basket will be available for the seeds. The sunflower is the National flower of Ukraine. Our flowers will be a symbol of our love and support for Ukraine and its people. Erin Kirkpatrick will oversee this project.

Live as deeply into these days as you are able. Be sure to see our Facebook page for additional ways/resources for home. I look forward to sharing Resurrection Joy with you as we once again shout Alleluia.

Faithfully, Ann + Vicar
