Nativity Newsletter, Epiphany Edition

Dear Nativity Family,

It is the Feast of the Epiphany as I write these words. I hope those of you who were out and about yesterday found the chalk on the front porch of the Church and will “Chalk” your door today. It’s a good day to stay in and reflect on all that today holds. I enjoy listening to James Taylor sing Home by another way. Wise ones still follow and listen.

Once again out of an abundance of caution and respect, we will have church via Zoom this Sunday. While it is not our favorite way of gathering, I do believe it is the safest for now. I am hopeful that we can resume in person worship next week, but the Mission Committee and I will continue to monitor the situation. Also, our Epiphany Brunch is postponed; stay tuned!

Yesterday, I had a delightful drive to Water Valley. In these days of Epiphany, I have challenged myself to see where the light is shining. As I drove to Water Valley via the back roads, I saw many who were letting their light shine: in the wave of a stranger and his daughter along the road; firefighters putting out a fire; the bloodmobile seeking donations. I encourage you to also look for those through whom the Light is shining.

Keep the faith! We will gather together again. Let us give thanks for modern technology that allows us to “see” one another. And, don’t forget to let your light shine!

Faithfully,

Ann +

Vicar

For Sunday, The Bulletin is here.
