Happy Eastertide everyone! Are y’all in one piece after that intense storm Sunday evening? We hope no one has suffered much damage and if you are in need of a chainsaw, we’re sure we could find someone who has one. Either way, we trust everybody is doing well and that you would please reach out if you are not ‘ok’ (seriously). Okay. Moving on... Nativity is happy to announce that our website is now officially live! You can check it out here at nativitywv.org. Yep. “It’s about time!,” you say? Haha! True! We had some delays (blame the Sr. Warden), but we are now a real presence in the World Wide Web. We hope that people will find that the site is indicative of Nativity’s warm and inviting spirit. One of our parishioners, Tressa Presley, developed this site for us and she did a wonderful job! Thank you Tressa for lending us your talent of computer/software know-how and taking this to task. We’re going to say ‘thank you’ one more time. Too much? We’ll keep it at that then.  Should you decide to peruse the website, you may notice that amongst the Home, I’m New, About and Nativity Blog pages is an Online Giving page. Given the times we’re living in, we thought it was appropriate to create an additional means of giving for our Nativity enthusiasts. Whether you have been wondering where to put that pile of tithing money or just wanted a way to give without having to mail a check, we have got you covered. Additionally, Nativity has decided to allocate a small amount of funds each week for our community. That funding will either go to a family/individual in serious need or it will go towards filling up the Blessing Box. We want Nativity to play it’s part in being a source of support for people who need it the most. And with additional financial support from our congregants, Nativity will feel much more secure in its efforts to a be light in the humble town of Water Valley. All this to be said, we imagine that money is tight for many of you, so please just give what you can. We appreciate anything you want to send our way (prayers are great support too!). You can find a link to our Online Giving page here Lastly, Fr. Kirk will be hosting another Pub Theology session this Wednesday @ 6 p.m. This weeks topic of discussion is ‘Doubt’. Now that’s a topic rife for dialogue! He also suggests that everyone read this Sunday’s gospel reading (John 20: 19-31), as it pertains to this Wednesday’s discussion. You can find the Zoom link here May God bless you and keep you in these trying times. Peace! Sean Kirkpatrick p.s. We don’t want to detract anyone from sending a check if that is your preferred method of payment. By all means send it to: Church of the Nativity 609 North Main St.  Water Valley, MS 38965
