Putting the ‘News’ Back in Newsletter

Hello to you all. We are hoping this message finds everyone in relatively good health and states of mind. We don’t want to beat around the bush. Nativity has some news! Get ready folks.

Let’s start off with church services. Nativity is now going to go back to having services at the pavilion in the park across from the BTC. It will be at 10:30 a.m. and will include the celebration of the Eucharist (partaking is optional)! This will start on the Sunday of September 27th (weekend after next). We will continue to do Zoom Sunday Morning Prayer on Sunday @ 9 a.m. as well. So take your pick! We hope this is good news for you all. It will be nice for our Nativity community to have the option to leave the house on Sunday morning for a chance.

We’d also like to announce that starting this Monday (21st), Bible Slam will be back in action! It will be held at the church like it was previous to the shutdown, but with some new precautionary measures. We ask that all who participate wear a mask and wash your hands before reading. You can use the soup and water in the sacristy or hand sanitizer. We also ask that you open the back and front doors to provide ventilation. Before you read, please write your name in the sign-in sheet. And if there are multiple people in the church, please practice proper social distancing (at least 6 ft apart). Nativity’s doors will be open for Bible reading from 8:30 a.m. to sundown. We hope many will see this as an opportunity to connect with our sacred space again.

We’ll stop there so you can properly digest all the new info. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will fill you in on any further details we may have. Please do your best to have a fulfilling week and make yourself available to that good ol’ God-given grace those preachers are always talking about. Peace...
