Sunday Morning Prayer at the Railroad Park Pavilion!

Hello folks. We want to announce that Fr. Kirk will be hosting a Sunday Morning Prayer service at the Railroad Park pavilion across from the B.T.C. Grocery. It will be held this Sunday @ 9 a.m. Prayers from the Litany of Repentance will replace the standard prayers that are usually used on Sunday. Given our nation’s current state of affairs, this different set of prayers seems appropriate.

This announcement comes with great excitement for many of you, but others may feel a bit trepidatious about the whole thing. We want to create a healthy and safe environment for everyone. Choosing to have our service outside will greatly mitigate the odds of anyone catching anything. This measure, along with stressing distance in seating and the wearing of masks, will further reduce the spread of any viral transference. Still, if anyone feels uncomfortable with gathering this Sunday, please stay home. We do not want this service to become a source of anxiety for you.

If you would like to join us, we have a few requests for our congregants. They are as follows:

• Please bring your own chairs to sit in. We will maintain the proper distancing protocol (at least 6 feet) in the seating area for families and individuals.

• We urge that everyone wear a mask for our gathering. We will have some masks available for people that do not have one, but we are limited.

• Please download on a smart device or print out the Sunday Morning Prayer Service leaflet. This will be provided for you in our Sunday Resource email this Saturday. Should anyone arrive without a leaflet, Fr. Kirk will also have some copies with him.

• We will need one volunteer to read the First Reading and lead the Psalm.

We’d also like to note that we will have some hand sanitizer for anyone that would like to use it during our service.

We hope that creating this opportunity to come together will be seen as a much needed breath of spiritual fresh air. This might be exactly what some of us need right now. We hope all that feel comfortable enough will join us. Peace be with you!
