Hello, Nativity friends. Well, it truly feels like winter is upon us. We hope y’all have been keeping warm these past few days! We want to start out with a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped Nativity contribute to the Yalobusha Nursing Home Gift Basket Fund. With your help, we were able to donate $525 to the cause! We know that our donation to the nursing home will lift the resident’s spirits as they continue to face the threat of this virus and the isolation that comes with it. We are so pleased to be able to show our community the kind and compassionate hearts that comprise our church. Once again, thank you...

Bible Slam is continuing to move along through Psalms. We appreciate all our readers and extend the invitation to anyone and everyone interested in taking part. Barring the hum of the traffic, the church is a great place to be if your looking for a space to find some quietude.

Vestry Nomination Update

Number of Nominees Needed: 2

Number of Current Nominees: 1

We are looking for at least two Vestry nominees for 2021. The term is for three years and the Vestry meets once every two months. Of course, we also require that you have a strong love for the Church of the Nativity. We hope to announce our new Vestry members by the end of January. Please contact us if you’re interested.

That’s it for this week. Stay tuned for next week’s announcements of Nativity’s Christmas service schedule. We hope you all are finding the time to be in good cheer amidst this Advent season. Christ’s peace...

p.s. Our good friend, Brenda Prager, has gifted us with a recording of Nine Lessons and Carols. It’s a 30 minute recording, so put it on while your decorating, cooking, wrapping presents, board-gaming, etc. Thank you for your talent as well as putting in the time and effort to do this, Brenda!
