Church!

(Huge thanks to Robbie Fisher and Tressa Presley for our new sign!)

Dear Nativity Family,

It's official! I am your new Vicar. I am thinking of the Stevie Wonder song Signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours! It is with great joy that I approach Sunday to worship with all of you.

This Sunday, June 6, will be a day to re-gather for in person worship at 10:30 a.m. We will, of course, follow the Diocesan guidelines. As a reminder, while we will be celebrating the Eucharist, communion will be in one kind only--bread. And please note, if you or your children are not fully vaccinated, it is recommended that you wear a mask. The Bishop's letter may be found here: https://www.dioms.org/dfc/newsdetail_2/3207379?fbclid=IwAR1XsKtfwrKzMEJ6HnKtrMd1vT1hMBXcFs5DT7YOlCg8WEM2ygxGcPSXrro

Beginning June 10, I will be coming to Water Valley one day a week for several hours. On the 10th, I plan to arrive at the church around 10 a.m. and will keep "office" hours there until such a time as my office is officially opened. Contact information will be given to you at a later date. My role for now is to listen; to listen to what is important to you.

Initially my goals are to reopen the church for worship and to get to you all of you. As we join together, I believe a clearer vision of our path will be revealed to us. We begin our life together in summer which can sometimes be a challenge in the Church year; I will be with you for three Sundays each month, and you will have a Sunday of lay led worship. I find myself excited about the possibilities that are ahead of us.

Lastly, thank you for your prayers for my husband. He is home and recovering.

We will celebrate us this Sunday (and those you invite), and of course, we will celebrate our gathering together for in person worship. Soon, we will do a more formal Celebration of a New Ministry, but for now, it is enough to gather with you in God's name.

Blessings as you prepare for Sunday.

Peace and All Good,

Ann +

Vicar
