Hello. We’re back with another week of ‘winging it’ here at Nativity. We hope all of you are well and in good spirits and not afraid to reach out if you’re feeling the opposite of well and good. Seriously.

We are so happy to have seen so many lovely faces at Nativity’s Sunday Morning Prayer on Zoom. It felt like one step in the direction of having a proper church service! Thank you all who participated and we apologize to those of you that had complications trying to get onto the Zoom chat. We hope we can correct those mishaps for next time. Stay tuned for another one next week!

Ok. So we have a bit of a request from Fr. Kirk. He is working on his Pentecost homily for next Sunday and he would like to hear about our experiences with God.Have you had an experience like that? Something that felt like a tangible connection with the Devine? There’s no one way to have an experience like this, so if you do feel like there was a moment where you felt or knew God was there, please send a video or written account of this spiritual occasion to Fr. Kirk at kirk@stpetersoxford.org.We know he would appreciate it. Thanks.

We will have another Pub Theology Zoom session this Wednesday @ 6 p.m. It will be the last one before we take a break for the summer, so Fr. Kirk thought it might be nice to have an open forum. If you’ve had any theological thoughts or questions that you’d like to discuss in further detail, now is the time. We can’t guarantee your question will be answered satisfactorily, but it will hopefully bring some insight!

God be with you all in this time of waiting. May it be done prayerfully. Peace!

-Sean

p.s. Fr. Kirk’s book study on Trains, Jesus and Murder: the Gospel According to Johnny Cash will be starting next week. Please contact Fr. Kirk if you’d like to be a part of it.
