Nativity Newsletter

Dear Nativity Family, The Merry month of May has brought us unseasonably warm temperatures! Summer is still a few weeks ago, but it’s feeling pretty summery as I write these words. Please keep farmers and gardeners in your prayers. As Bob Dylan once said, “Oh the times, they are a changin’.”

The Spirit is active at Nativity! “Be still, be open” it seems to be saying. In the coming days, the Mission Committee will be sharing more with you about some of the upcoming changes. I encourage you in these days of unending change to find time daily to be still, to be open to what the Spirit is blowing in our direction.

This Sunday will be our Fellowship/Coffee Hour following our worship. Many thanks to Alexe for fostering our social gatherings. Please bring a “treat” to share. Fellowship is very important as we move through this year.

Sunday, June 22, we are poised to meet in the Taylor Area at Jenni Campbell’s flower farm to celebrate Rogation Sunday. The service time is 10:30 a.m. Details are being finalized and hopefully we will get directions and plans emailed early next week. Of course, if it is inclement weather, we will gather at the Church of the Nativity as we give thanks for all growing things.

As you go through your week, ruminate on these words from a blessing prayer from the Holy Eucharist, Rite I:

The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the

knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of

God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, be amongst you, and remain with you always. Amen.

Love one another! See you Sunday! Blessings on your week!

Peace,

Ann+

Vicar
