Nativity Newsletter in Pentecost

Dear Nativity Family,

Greetings on this warm, sunny, beautiful day! Please be weather aware. Changes are coming!

This Sunday we will once again meet via Zoom. Because of the continuing increase in the omicron variant, and predicted inclement weather, it is necessary to make this move. As James reminded me, WE are the church…and the building is there when we can meet again!

We are now in the season of Pentecost; the color for Pentecost is green. It signifies, among other things, a time for growing. During these winter months we are not growing our gardens, but we can be growing in our faith. I invite each of you to join me in participating in The Good Book Club. You can learn more about it here: Good Book Club to start 2022 with Exodus - Forward Movement News In addition, you can also download a pdf of the readings: Readings-Exodus.pdf (goodbookclub.org) Exodus is an important book for us; Epiphany is a time when Jesus is made manifest to people in a variety of ways and we are reminded that the light has truly come into the world. If you would like to have a weekly discussion via Zoom on the readings, kindly let me know.

I remain grateful for the modern means by which we can gather during this extraordinary time in our lives. As many of you may know, our Diocesan Council will meet in a virtual fashion on January 29. Bishop Seage made the announcement this week. I ask your prayers for this Council gathering.

Zoom password: 838897

Blessings on the rest of your week. I am praying that we may soon gather together in person, but until then, keep the faith, check on one another, join me in The Good Book Club and may God’s peace rest upon you!

Faithfully,

Ann +

Vicar
