Some Fresh Air

Hello folks. We hope you are well and enjoying the cooler temperatures (hopefully your allergies aren’t going nuts right now). We had a great outdoor Eucharist service this past Sunday. The turnout was great and it was exciting to see our church community after a long time away from each other. We hope that next week’s service (@ 10:30 a.m. in the pavilion across from the BTC Grocery) carries the same amount of joy and vigor as this past Sunday!

We would like to announce that next week will be the start of a four-part series on how to help build what Martin Luther King Jr. called a ‘Beloved Community’. Here’s the details on this upcoming event:

Becoming Beloved Community

Join members of Church of the Nativity, St. Peter's, and the Episcopal Church at Ole Miss for a four week series to explore and discern our commitment to Racial Healing, Reconciliation, and Justice. 7 pm Wednesdays in October via Zoom, beginning October 7.

Week 1: Telling the Truth about Our Church and Race

Week 2: Proclaiming the Dream of Beloved Community

Week 3: Practicing the Way of Love as Ambassadors of Reconciliation

Week 4: Repairing the Breach in Institutions and Society

To sign up, email Fr. Kirk at kirk@stpetersoxford.org

We’d love for friends of Nativity to take part in this! You can’t deny the importance of it. Thanks.

And last but not least, Bible Slam is still pushing forward. We have some dependable readers, but we would like to diversify the readership even more. If you ever find yourself twiddling your thumbs, head on over to the church and read a few pages from the big, red Bible. You can’t miss it. We are in the Book of Esther at the moment. It’s a good read!

It looks like we’ve reached the end, peeps. Please take care of yourselves this week and let us know if there’s something Nativity can help you with. Christ’s peace be with you all...
