The Sunday Morning Prayer Experiment

Aloha everyone. We hope you’re doing well out there. We wanted to give you a heads up on how we’re doing the Sunday Morning Prayer. Since Fr. Kirk has started his road trip this week, the laity has volunteered to conduct the morning prayer this weekend. We can’t promise it will be fluid and without mistakes, but we are willing to give it the old college try. So if you are at all interested in taking part in this grand experiment, we invite you to join us for lay Sunday Morning Prayer @ 9 a.m. We won’t have the leaflet or be able to project the text on the computer screen, so we’re asking that you grab your Book of Common Prayer off the shelf to read along with us. If you don’t have a BCP, we have a link to a digital version right here: https://episcopalchurch.org/files/book_of_common_prayer.pdf We also have the Revised Common Lectionary scripture readings here: http://www.lectionarypage.net/YearA_RCL/Pentecost/AProp10_RCL.html We would love to have some volunteers for the scripture readings. Please message us if you’re willing to help out.  Once again, we can’t promise this will go smoothly, but by God we’ll do our best! And it if it’s a bit too jumbled and awkward, we’ll simplify it for next week. We’d love for you to join us. If anything, you could see it as a Nativity community building exercise.   Below, you will find our Zoom link for this meeting, our usual worship links and Prayers of the People for this Sunday. God be with you!
