Hello fine folks. We’re back for another week of similar circumstances to the last one. But we are hoping all of you are doing fine!? It’s been a long stretch of isolation and I’d like to say we’re in the home stretch, but we will reserve that to more authoritative sources. All that to be said, if you want to contact us for help or just someone to talk to, please let us know! We had a vestry meeting yesterday. It was good to see everyone’s healthy and smiling faces. The vestry crew seems to be in good spirits and are not lacking in enthusiasm for all things Nativity. And during our meeting, we were informed that James McCormick’s daughter Hannah was going into labor! By around 6:30 this morning, Hannah and Ryan welcomed Noa Caroline Pierce into the world. Welcome little one! Congrats to Hannah and Ryan on their new arrival and we hope Hannah can get some well-deserved rest! Send some prayers their way. We also want to mention that we will be skipping Pub Theology this week. Fr. Kirk has a family related issue that needs to be taken care of, so it felt like a good time to take a break. But do not fret! We have every reason to believe it will be returning. And thanks to all who joined us last week for our discussion on the welfare of our grand earth! There was plenty of spirited dialogue to be had by all. The big takeaway was the passion and good ideas that everyone had for bettering our island home. Let’s hope we can best put those thoughts into common practice. Thanks to all who tuned in last Wednesday! Finally, we didn’t want to fail to mention that we are proud of our community and their embracing of the Blessing Box. We are now at point where there are many people outside the realm of Nativity who are trying to keep ‘BB’ stocked throughout the week. We are thankful that so many have taken an interest and see it as a furthering of God’s good graces in our community. Nativity would like to say “THANK YOU!” Christ’s peace be with you all... -Sean P.S. Rev. Ann Whitaker gave us a shout out the other day. She wanted everyone to know that she’s praying for us. Thank you Ann! We hope her and Jerry continue to be healthy and safe!
