Hello, Nativity fans. We hope all of you enjoyed our fleeting snowfall this past Monday. We’re hoping it lifted some spirits and made winter a little more tolerable!

We want to thank everyone who showed up for our Sunday Morning Prayer last Sunday. Reverend Sylvia felt welcome and humored as she navigated through Zoom for the first time. She will be a pro before you know it! All that to be said, Sylvia lead us through SMP with grace and heartfelt attention and delivered a poignant homily as well! Thank you, Sylvia. You are now an official ‘friend’ of Nativity. We look forward to seeing you next month!

We received a nice letter in the mail from Tammy Hayles at the Yalobusha Nursing Home thanking us for our contribution to the resident gift baskets. In her words, “We went from room to room with Santa and some of his friends and passed out gifts. It was a very touching morning for all of us, there were lots of smiles and laughter in the rooms and hallways. The residents were very appreciative for everything they received.” Thank you all who donated to the gift basket fund. You brought joy and cheer to people who truly needed it!

Ongoing Announcements We are still in Psalms as the Bible Slam continues. If you want to make a dent in our epic Bible-reading journey, Nativity’s doors are open from 8:30ish to sundown. Drop on by! Vestry Nomination Update Number of Nominees Needed: 2 Number of Current Nominees: 2 We are looking for at least two Vestry nominees for 2021 (the more the merrier). The term is for three years and the Vestry meets once every two months. Of course, we also require that you have a strong love for the Church of the Nativity. Please contact us if you’re interested. We will be announcing our new Vestry nominees next week, so if you want to throw your name into the Vestry hat, now is the time! That’s all we have for today, people. We hope you have a lovely rest of your week and look forward to seeing you this Sunday with our friend, Ann Whitaker. Christ’s peace... -Sean
