It Takes Two

Hello and good day! We’ve got a fresh announcement to bring to you all on this fine Wednesday. In January, Debby Patterson and Sean Kirkpatrick will be finishing up their terms as Vestry members. That leaves our good friend, James McCormick, all by his lonesome. Of course you can spare James of his future loneliness by joining the Vestry! That’s right folks. Nativity is now looking for two fresh candidates to be involved in the Vestry for 2021.

As part of the Vestry, you will have an influential voice in the decisions being made for the well-being of the Church of the Nativity. You serve a three year term and the Vestry meets once every two months. It’s great way to put your passion for Nativity into action!

Whether you are enthusiastic or on-the-fence about possibly being on the Vestry, we suggest you get in touch with us so we can give you more details. If you are interested/curious in being nominated, please contact us through email (nativitywatervalley@gmail.com), Fr. Kirk (kirk@stpetersoxford.org) or talk to a Vestry member. Keep the Vestry in your prayers!

And while we’re at it, Debby Patterson needs some help with the Altar Guild. She would like to have an extra pair of hands to help her out if she is unavailable to get the church ready for the next service and/or to put things away afterwards. Please email us so we can get you in touch with Debby. We know she would appreciate it. :)

Bible Slam is still making it’s way through Psalms. Pick a nice sunny day to stroll over to the church and read a bit. It’s a sure cure for boredom!

That concludes this week’s newsletter. We hope you all have a fantastic week! Christ’s peace be with you..

-Sean
